ABOUT JOE

Joe Versen believes in service to his clients and his community. Prior to entering the Real Estate Profession, Joe received a Master’s Degree in Education, while teaching and coaching. After 10 years, he entered textile management, which brought him to York County. Since then, Joe has served or is serving, often as ‘Chairman*’, on the Boards of Directors of the United Way, of the Greater York Chamber of Commerce, the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce*, the Western York County YMCA Advisory Board, the Rock Hill/York County Convention and Visitors Bureau*, the Winthrop University Eagle Club* and, currently, is Chair of the Piedmont Regional Association of REALTORS®. Some of the committees he has chaired include the Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors Education Committee and the Issues and Mobilization Committee, the Greater York Chamber’s Government Liaison Committee and the Greater York Invitational Golf Tournament Committee. He has completed the “Leadership York County” program of the York County Council of Chambers and has been active in planning the annual “York County Day” in Columbia. He was selected to be the 2002 “Duke of York” of the Annual York “Summerfest” festival.
